{"id":1487,"date":"2009-05-31T20:02:32","date_gmt":"2009-06-01T03:02:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sgtbrandi.com\/?p=1487"},"modified":"2016-07-06T11:40:10","modified_gmt":"2016-07-06T17:40:10","slug":"mentoring-combat-warriors-reaches-4500-and-growing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sgtbrandi.com\/?p=1487","title":{"rendered":"MENTORING COMBAT WARRIORS REACHES 4,500 AND GROWING&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Most Recent Mentoring Sessions<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>I conducted another group of Mentoring Sessions to approximately 700 Combat Veterans at Fort Carson the 6th and 7th of this month.\u00a0 This takes the total troop mentoring sessions to over 4,500 participants.\u00a0 The feedback from the troops and their officers in the Fort Carson sessions was it was very well received.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s what was published on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.military.com\/cs\/Satellite?c=maArticle&amp;cid=1199421858579&amp;pagename=News%2FnwsLayout\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Military.com<\/span><\/a><\/span> .<\/p>\n<p>These sessions\u00a0 with my young Brothers and Sisters are truly meaningful, \u00a0in that I have the opportunity to pass on my own life lessons regarding overcoming Combat Trauma, resisting suicide, handling the need for Combat Adrenalin and overcoming the loss of my Fellow Warriors.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve learned over the past 40 years how to present these real life experiences to our Young Warriors in ways that are meaningful and effective.<\/p>\n<p>Even more meaningful is the <strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">feedback<\/span><\/em><\/strong> I get from the Troops themselves about what they&#8217;re facing today.\u00a0 <strong>They <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">want <\/span><\/em>to hear from another Combat Warrior who&#8217;s been on the Battle Field.<\/strong> And just how us old knuckle draggers have successfully Improvised, Overcome and Adapted to survive post combat life in civilian society.\u00a0 I come away every time invigorated to find other ways to help them effectively deal with the challenges they face today.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\">BOOK APPROVED BY US DEPT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS IS ACTIVELY BEING PURCHASED<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>I&#8217;m pleased to share my book, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sgtbrandi.com\/?page_id=1656\"><strong><em>The Warriors Guide to Insanity<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/span>, recently approved by the US Department of Veterans Affairs for purchase by all the Vet\u00a0 Centers around the country, is actively being purchased for distribution to the Troops.\u00a0 This is a great tool for Warriors to benefit from .\u00a0\u00a0 We&#8217;re also in negotiations with a National Guard Unit who want to purchase a book for every one of their Troopers.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\">A FREE AUDIO VERSION OF THE BOOK IS AVAILABLE ON THIS WEBSITE<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In case you want to check it out or share it with someone else here&#8217;s a link to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sgtbrandi.com\/?page_id=1328\">the Free Audio Version<\/a><\/span>.\u00a0 <strong>Please send a link to anyone else you think could benefit from this valuable information.<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #800000;\">INDIVIDUAL MENTORING BY A COMBAT WARRIOR IS NEXT&#8230;<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>My team and I are about to launch an upgrade to our mentoring activities even further by offering Personalized Mentoring by a Retired Combat Veteran on a <strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">one-on-one<\/span><\/em><\/strong> basis.\u00a0 We&#8217;re in early discussions with a retired combat veterans group who have an interest in sharing with individual Warriors their combat experiences and transition challenges in an attempt to play a positive role in overcoming Combat Trauma and Suicide Prevention efforts.\u00a0 It looks real good.\u00a0 Troops will be able to call a number and talk to a real live person&#8230;a Fellow Warrior. \u00a0They will be there to talk with, and watch your six if you decide to go into a center for some follow up on how you&#8217;re feeling and what the hell is goin on in your brain housing group.\u00a0 I will keep you posted.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">STAY ALERT THERE&#8217;S MORE TO COME&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sgt.
